1170 & 1200 Hancock

Update March 17, 2023

Dear Neighbors –

Construction Update:

Russell Park is temporarily a one-way street with vehicle access toward Hancock Street. The south lane on Russell Park will be closed for vehicle access from Hancock Street onto Russell Park. The one-way Traffic Management Plan on Russell Park will remain in place through mid-May of 2023. The project will continue to have police details to help monitor pedestrian and vehicular traffic and there may be additional street closures at the discretion of Quincy PD. 

1170 Hancock Street

  • Window installation is ongoing and is nearing completion
  • Brick installation on the facade is expected to begin in the next few weeks and is expected to continue through May 
  • Masonry restoration of the Masonic Temple is ongoing and is expected to be completed at the end of June 
  • Interior finishes are underway and will continue through September 
  • Site improvements are expected to start in June and be completed in late August 

1200 Hancock Street 

  • Wood framing installation is expected to be completed by the end of April 
  • Interior mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work is now underway in the garage and expected to begin in units in the coming weeks 
  • Facade finishes are expected to begin in May 
  • Site improvements and landscaping are expected to begin this fall 

We continue to have supervision at the property and encourage anyone to reach out to us or our construction team with questions, concerns, or comments.


Project Timeline

May 2022: Demolition of 1200 Hancock St. is now complete
Early Spring 2022: Excavation and foundations at both buildings ongoing through the summer of 2022
Early 2024: The project is expected to be complete
