Update December 16

Dear Neighbors –

Construction Update:

There will continue to be intermittent lane closures for deliveries and crane activity throughout the duration of the project on Russell Park and Huntley Road. As stipulated in the Construction Management Plan approved by the City of Quincy, for safety reasons pedestrian traffic will continue to be prohibited on Russell Park in front of the Project until approximately September 2023. Detour signage is in place to direct pedestrian traffic around the Project Site. For your own safety, please refrain from walking in front of the construction fence along Russell Park. We continue to work with the City to ensure a safe and successful Project.

1170 Hancock Street

  • Wood framing has been completed through level 6 and will be completed this month
  • Air vapor barrier and window flashing is underway
  • Interior metal framing is underway
  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing rough is underway
  • Ground floor concrete has been poured
  • The Masonic Temple elevator pit has been poured and the elevator shaft has started

1200 Hancock Street

  • On-site utility installation is nearing completion
  • Installation of lower garage under-slab plumbing is in progress
  • Structural steel erection has been completed.Metal decking installation underway and will be completed this month.
  • Rebar installation for second floor slab is underway
  • Wood framing installation on level 2 is in progress
  • Pouring for ground-level and deck-level concrete will continue thru January

    We continue to have supervision at the property and encourage anyone to reach out to us or our construction team with questions, concerns, or comments.


    Project Timeline

    May 2022: Demolition of 1200 Hancock St. is now complete
    Early Spring 2022: Excavation and foundations at both buildings ongoing through the summer of 2022
    Early 2024: The project is expected to be complete


    Once work begins on site, our team will be providing the community with updates like this one every other week, which will include notices of any upcoming activities for the week following and will be posted to our website.
